Oh, CONTRAire! -Contra Dance Music
Contra dancing is an old New England tradition similar to square dancing. A caller teaches the dances and calls them, usually to live music. The music descends from Celtic roots, and includes jigs and reels as well as a waltz or two to wrap things up. Join us as Oh, CONTRAire brings this special musical tradition out onto the Westford Common. Their music is just plain fun, whether you are dancing or listening. To catch more of Oh, CONTRAire! as well as family and adult contra dances, check the Parish Center for the Arts schedule.

The Roasted Ramblers
The Roasted Ramblers are a local Acton/Westford group featuring Charlie Andrews (Westford), Tom Bechard (Acton), Jim Fitzgerald (Westford) and Greg Wallack (Acton). Off and on, they’ve been playing rock with a bit of folk/country twist for several years, having a good time being a basement get-together band. Their occasional, informal gigs stress the fun element playing backyard parties and supporting events like Westford’s Strawberry festival.
